Swan Creek Candle Co.® fights economic trends with purchase and plans to opens its 9th historic Main Street location for their American Soybean Candles

Swanton, Oh, February 10, 2010: Swan Creek Candle Co., American Soybean WaxTM manufacturer, has purchased and plans to open its 1st Florida Company Store in historic downtown Leesburg, Fl. The company is recognized in Ohio and Michigan for choosing to locate and restore historic buildings for their Company Outlet Stores. The family run company, founded in 1978, became a pioneer in American Soybean Candles in 1996 when the decision was made to change candle production from paraffin, (petroleum) to a renewable resource, Soybeans. In addition to being a renewable resource, soybean wax burns cleaner, and longer. The Michigan and Ohio Historic Outlet locations have provided stability to the traditional main street environment.The 707 W. Main St. Leesburg, Fl. store restoration will start immediately with a projected opening in late summer/fall 2010.
